Products & Services

Every project is different… but we’ve got you covered.

New England weather can be unpredictable at best! It can affect deadlines, crews, budgets and reputations. One of the biggest fallacies is that concrete work cannot be performed in the winter, because of temperatures dropping below freezing. We have the tools, technology and experience to conduct many projects in the most difficult weather conditions! We’ll help you get your construction underway and progressing no matter the time of year.

Foundations

There are many different types of concrete foundations. Here are the most common:

T-Shaped Foundation

A traditional foundation method very commonly used here in the Northeast, because our ground freezes. The footing is placed below the frost line and is wider than the wall structure in order to provide extra support.

Slab-On-Grade

This is a single layer of concrete, poured thicker at the edges. Reinforcing rods strengthen the edges. For drainage, the slab rests on a bed of crushed gravel. Casting a wire mesh in the concrete reduces the chance of cracking.

Frost Protected

Used exclusively with a heated structure. It relies on the use of two sheets of rigid, polystyrene insulation—one on the outside of the foundation wall and the other laid flat on a bed of gravel at the base of the wall. The insulation holds heat from the structure in the ground under the footings and prevents heat loss from the edge of the slab. This heat keeps the ground temperature around the footings above freezing.

Laser Screed Floors

This is a type of technology that produces a floor stronger than traditional methods of slab on grade. This method uses lasers to consistently produce even grade throughout the pouring process.

Concrete Repairs & Renovations

Some concrete repairs are simple, but many are not. What may look like a surface crack can be a symptom of a much larger issue. Always have a professional evaluate your surface prior to conducting any repairs.

In addition, repairs can also create the opportunity to conduct renovations to an older/deteriorating slab. Take the opportunity to not only secure your foundation but talk to us about ways to improve functionality or the look of your concrete.
